Dental Veneers
A veneer is a thin porcelain shell, made for one specific tooth and bonded across its front surface. It is what cosmetic dentistry reaches for when the issue is not only color but form: teeth that are chipped, worn short, slightly rotated, permanently stained, or spaced in a way whitening cannot address.
Veneers usually take two to three visits. First we plan the outcome together — shade, shape, and how much of the smile you want changed. Then a thin layer of enamel is prepared from each treated tooth and temporaries protect them while the laboratory crafts the porcelain. At the final visit each veneer is tried in, adjusted, and bonded.
Because enamel is removed, veneers are a lasting commitment, which makes the planning appointment the most important one. We will show you what is realistic, say so when bonding or whitening would serve you just as well for less, and never push more dentistry than your goal requires.
